We foster positive inter-community experiences and inter-ethnic reconciliation by engaging young women from North and South Mitrovica in long-term joint collaborative work.
When one woman helps another, amazing things can happen. The project equips 20 young women from Kosovo Albanian and Kosovo Serbian communities from South and North Mitrovica with high-value skills and hands on experience to use new technologies for social good.
Digitalization is the 'integration of digital technology into everyday life'. We develop a digital tool that serves to contribute to better relations between communities which will serve the local populations for years to come.
The two dominant communities in Kosovo, Albanians and Serbians, continue to live side by side while inhabiting two separate worlds.
Interactions remain sporadic and happen mostly out of necessity rather than because of a genuine will to engage in constructive interaction.
Hence, the project addresses the identified challenges by adopting an innovative approach that leverages the use of new technologies to empower young women and foster positive inter-community interaction.
